19-year-old Polish international Kinga Kozak has joined Scottish WPL runners-up Glasgow City from Puchar Polski winners Czarni Sosnowiec.
The seven-time Polish representative has become the 15-time Scottish champions’ second signing of the summer, as they attempt to reclaim the title from cross-city rivals Rangers. She will also hope to help the club qualify for the Champions League, having played for Czarni in the qualifying round of the 2021/22 competition. Kozak will wear the number 16 shirt at Petershill Park.
Prior to her stint in Sosnowiec, Kozak played for neighbouring GKS Katowice.
“I am glad that I have made a decision about a foreign transfer and that I am coming to the most titled football club in Scotland – Glasgow City F.C. I hope that it will help me develop as a football player, as well as human being and that the time I will work in Glasgow will pay off in the future and it will affect my good level of play. I am happy that the club has trusted me so much and hand me the shirt with number 16, with which the biggest legend of the club – Leanne Ross – had played. I hope that together we will achieve a lot of successes and we will fight for top goals. I can’t wait for my first appearance in the colours of Glasgow City.”

Meanwhile, fellow Polish international Weronika Zawistowska has extended her loan spell at 1.FC Koln for another year.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder played 22 times for Effzeh last term, scoring three times; having joined on loan from Bayern Munich immediately after her own transfer from Czarni Sosnowiec.
