Tottenham sign Polish striker

Barclays Women’s Super League club Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of Polish international Nikola Karczewska, on a two-year deal from French side FC Fleury. The 22-year-old will have an option to extend her stay in North London for an additional year.

Karczewska hit stunning form for both club and country last season, scoring 10 in 24 games for Les Essonniennes, and even hitting six goals in April’s 12-0 World Cup Qualifying hammering of Armenia.

Prior to her 12-month stint in the Division 1 Feminine, Karczewska spend two years at Górnik Łęczna; helping them to the Ekstraliga title and qualification for the Champions League.

“Niki is an exciting addition who will strengthen our forward line. Her performances in France and Poland over the last two years show how capable she is in front of goal, and we are looking forward to helping her push on in the WSL. She’s very determined with a great attitude. “
