Spanish attacker Carlitos López has made a sensational return to Legia Warsaw, signing a two-year deal with the option to extend for another 12 months.
Carlitos left Łazienkowska 3 early in the 2019/20 season, for Abu Dhabi-based Al Wahda. Within four months he had moved on again, this time to Greek side Panathinaikos. His return to Poland comes after 16 goals in 62 appearances in the Greek capital.
The Spaniard will now look to add to the 52 appearances and 21 goals during his first stint with the Wojskowi. Prior to that, he achieved a similar record at Wisła Kraków – also taking the league’s Golden Boot during the 2017/18 campaign.
“Legia is Legia – each year it can achieve a good result in the league. I can promise you that I will give the group everything I have. The club gave me a lot and I want to give back at least what I got from it. I want to help everyone as much as I can: the club and my teammates.”Carlitos López, Legia Warsaw
Carlitos will wear the number 19 shirt at Legia.
