The PZPN confirmed on Wednesday morning, details of Poland’s pre-World Cup preparation match. The Reprezentacja will face off against Eduardo Berizzo’s Chilean national team, just a day before flying to Qatar.
The match in Warsaw will be Czesław Michniewicz’s final chance to fine-tune his squad, before Poland’s second successive World Cup campaign. The match will take place on Wednesday 16th November, at the PGE Narodowy in Warsaw – six days before facing Mexico in Doha.
Chile themselves failed to qualify for the World Cup, finishing 7th of ten teams in the CONMEBOL qualifying. They missed out on a play-off place by five points. However, it is likely that they have been carefully selected by the PZPN; as well as Mexico, Poland will also face Argentina in Group C, and Chile will be used as acclimatisation for a Latin American style of football.
