Ryan Hubbard began writing about Polish football over a decade ago, firstly for his original blog, Ekstraklasa Review, and then for numerous other blogs, websites and newspapers. Over time, his work has appeared in such places as ESPN FC, FourFourTwo, Late Tackle, Mirror Football, When Saturday Comes…, and many more.

Ryan has also regularly appeared on TV (BT Sport, ViaPlay Polska), Radio (TalkSport, BBC Five Live) and Podcasts (Totally Football Show), talking about the subject. During the 2012/13 season, Ryan also appeared as a regular studio pundit on SportsTonight TV‘s live coverage of the Polish Ekstraklasa, and has also covered a handful of games – from pre-season friendlies, to the Puchar Polski final – as a commentator.

In 2019, Ryan published his first book, From Partition to Solidarity: the first 100 years of Polish football.
